For the benefit of Members and their guests, six ocean-front har-tru courts allow tennis with both a view and an ocean breeze: both are rare luxuries on the Jersey Shore. 

A pro shop is there for a grip change, can of balls, restringing and required necessary tennis white apparel.  

Programming

Adult doubles clinics are fun, social and educational.  Cardio Clinics help you get & stay in “tennis shape”.  A children’s program has been curated for the betterment of any Junior player. 

There are various tournament formats: singles, doubles, member-guest, etc.  We also have travel teams that compete along the Jersey Shore vs various other beach club teams.

Because the staff get to know all of the players and there ability they can act as a concierge to arrange a game for you.

Assistant Pros are complementary as hitting partners or to fill in for a game – an OBC exclusive!

Staff

OBC has partnered with IA Excellence to oversee its Tennis Programming and Facilities.   

IA Excellence includes nearly a dozen working tennis and fitness professionals and runs the premier Junior Tennis Academies in NJ.  OBCs Head Pro will be Rodrigo Magalhaes, IA Excellence’s Managing Partner and Director of Tennis.

Originally from Lisbon, Rodrigo was a top 3 Portuguese Junior and top 5 National player. He played NCAA Division #1 Tennis and competed in both singles and doubles. He was a 3 time ITA Scholar-Athlete and competed in the NCAA All American Championship. He has coached the #1 ranked ITF Junior Player and worked as a Pro at Spring Lake Bath & Tennis Club and Navesink Country Club before embarking on his own tennis venture.
